Report of the Police Chief for December 1981
The Police Department handled 79 complaints and investigated 11 motor
vehicle accidents during the month. There were 16 traffic tickets and
8 parking tickets issued.
There were four felony complaints, two for burglary and two for attempted
burglary. There were twenty -six misdemeanor complaints, seven petit larceny,
five issuing bad checks, five aggravated harassment, five criminal mischief,
two criminal trespass, one criminal possession of stolen property and one
illegal possession of weapons.
Two persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated during the month.
There was a total of $2,444.36 in property reported lost or stolen and
$158.90 in property was recovered by the Police Department.
The full -time officers worked 40 hours overtime during the month and
the part -time officers worked 43 hours.
