REPORT OF THE ENGINEER
January 18, 1982
F ompiza
A sludge disposal permit has not as yet been issued to the Village. Negotiations
continue on three or four possible sites. Additional storage areas at the Village
Treatment Plant have been developed so that we can continue to remove sludge from
the digesters, dry it and store it. The concentrated efforts of the Village
Engineer, working with our Consultant Engineer, David Petruccelli, Sewer Plant
Operator, Gary Gleason, and the County Planning office will continue to solve this
problem.
RENWICK CREEK CULVERT AT HIGHLAND ROAD
The railroad tie cribbing and wingwalls at this culvert have been completed.. Because
of the deeply frozen ground, the installation of a guardrail will be delayed. In
the meantime, a temporary snow fence will be erected to prevent pedestrians and /or
bicyclists from walking off the edge of the culvert or wingwalls.
VILLAGE HALL
Extreme cold weather has brought to light, in a number of places, the need for in-
sulation:and other repair type work to prevent infiltration of cold drafts. This
work has been started.
