Fire Chief's Report for the month of December 1981
The Fire Department had eight fire calls during the month of December. These
fires included a loose fan belt, a short in an electric motor, a short in an
electric outlet, a tire smoldering in a garage, a coffe pot boiled dry, a
chimney fire, a dumpster fire, and a mutual aid call for an abandoned house.
One incident was caused by a malfunction of the flexalarm at the fire house.
Four Rescue Squad calls included a personnel illness, a motor vehicle accident,
a stroke, and an assist to Lansing ambulance.
A total of 155 men answered 13 calls and spent a total of 92 hours and 40
minutes for the month of December. This does not include the time spent on
preparing and executing drills and maintaining equipment.
