HomeMy WebLinkAboutReport of the Engineer Oct 1981VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS REPORT OF ENGINEER October 19, 1981 SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT Invoices have been received from Pickard and Anderson, Consulting Engineers, for the engineering work necessary to apply for a sludge transportation permit and a permit for disposal of sludge on open land. The total of these invoices exceeds. by a considerable amount the original estimate given by Mr. Dave Petrocelli to the Village Board of Trustees. Mr. Petrocelli has submitted the work that was included in the original scope of work and a list of the NYS DEC requirements to accomplish the engineering work required by the Village for these sludge permits. These details will be available for the Board at the Board meeting. 825 HANSHAW ROAD Additional requests have been received for work on this building from Mr. and Mrs. Buck. The $1500 allocated by the Board has been spent; and, if further work is to be done, additional monies will have to be allocated. REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER During the -past -month two zoning permits were issued for a total of $3,952 for the construction of additions and alterations to existing buildings. The Corners Community Center has submitted plans for the parking and roads around the bank building at the Community Center and a preliminary plan for a total reno- vation of the area including the possible construction of a new building. These plans will be available for review by the Board at its October meeting. Tommy Oil Co. has requested permission to remove the building at the Mobil Oil gas station and replace it with a gas service with no automotive repair facilities. They have been notified that a special application to the Village Board of Trustees is necessary for permission to operate a gas station at that site. Additional information and presentation will be presented at the Board's October meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer requested information from the Zoning Officer as to what would be necessary to gain permission to use the house and property on the Savage Farm, presently offered for sale by Cornell University, as a private school. Tbey were notified that it would require, in the Zoning Officer's opinion, a change in zoning which would come under the jurisdiction of the Village Trustees. Mr. Branchini requested a letter on the status of his application for permission to build an office building on the property of Mr. Hill on East Upland Road. Rosetti Associates were notified that their five -year permit to operate a restaurant at the Corners Community Center has expired as of 10 -18 -81 and that an application to renew the permit should be submitted to the Village Board of Trustees.
