SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for March 1981
The police Department handled 78 complaints and investigated
7 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 94
traffic tickets and 69 parking tickets issued.
There were seven felony complaints, three for burglary, two
for grand larceny, one arson second degree, and one attempted
burglary. There were seventeen misdemeanor complaints, six
for petit larceny, four for criminal mischief, three for
aggravated harassment, and one each for issuing a bad check,
criminal trespass, reckless endangerment, and unauthorized use
of a motor vehicle.
Two persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated, one
person was arrested for arson second degree, and one person
was arrested for issuing a bad check. Three juveniles were
apprehended for harassment, and one juvenile was apprehended
for trespassing.
There was a total of $5,186.00 in property reported lost or
stolen and $1,675.03 in property was recovered by the Police
Department.
The full -time officers worked a total of 33 hours overtime
and the part -time officers worked 32 hours during the month.
