Discussion was held with Attorney Charles Currey concerning the purchase and conversion of a private, single - family residence on Overlook Road and the ordinances that must be met for this conversion to a sorority. Ile was advised to appear before the Board of Trustees, who would act as the Village Planning Board. Discussions were held last week with Lagrand Chase concerning his request to secure zoning permits to build on his property on Pleasant Grove Lane. Rights of way for future roads and previous Village requirements and con, ditions were reviewed. He was invited to appear before the Board of Trustees to explain his proposal. i VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS REPORT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT To: Honorable F.G. Marcham, Mayor, and members of the Hoard of Trustees From: Edward Collins, Acting Fire Chief Re: Report of the Fire Department for the month of February 1981 In the month of February there were 8 general alarms, 6 incident calls, and 7 rescue calls. 1. On Wednesday, February 4, 19 firemen responded to DeWitt Jr. HightSchool at 400 Lake St.. Possible telephone cable trouble in the area. 2. On Tuesday, February 10, 9 firemen responded to a trash fire in a dumpster owned by Collin's Garbage Service. 3. On Wednesday, February 11, 12 firemen responded to 10 Triphammer Rd. . No fire. 4. On Sunday February 15, 8 firemen responded to the station for an automatic flexalarmi No location shown. 5. On Wednesday, February 19, 7 firemen responded to a standby at Varna Fire Station. 6. On Thursday, February 19, 8 firemen responded to a trash fire in a dumpster at Community Corners owned by Collins Garbage Service. 7. On Sunday February 22, 1981 17 firemen responded to a car fire at 206 Sapsuckerwoods Rd. . Vehicle was heavily damaged under hood and dash by fire and foreced entry to fight fire. Smoke damage in rest of vehicle. Cause of ignition and faulty fuel line or carburetor. 8. On Saturday, February 28, at 116 North Sunset Drive there was an automatic telephone alarm. No fire. ,rThe Incident Calls for the month of February included: 1. A smoke odor in a laundry room. 2. 3 incidents to help property owners with water removal. The cause in all three calls was because of the melting snow. 3. Assist a property owner in unlocking a bathroomtdoor. It. The use of several pieces of equipment at a working house fire in Lansing. The Rescue Squad Calls for the month of February included: 1. Two calls involving Cardiac problems. 2. One call where the patient was having problems with a seizure. 3. Two calls at motor vehicle accidents. 4. One call with a possible fracture. 5. One call with the patient was having breathing difficulty. Man hours spent on calls during the month of February: Fire related calls involved a total of 35 hours and 5 minutes. Fescue Squad calls involved a total of 15 hours and 45 minutes. Incident Calls involved a total of 20 hours and 35 minutes. Total man hours spent on calls were 71 hours and 25 minutes.
