HIGHLAND ROAD CULVERT FOR REMINGTON CREEK
The extremely cold weather of January and the first part of February caused
a large buildup of ice at the forks above this culvert. The quick thaw
caused the ice to break up and wash downstream where it blocked the culvert
at Highland Road. Water rose over the road and some went down the driveway
of C.E. Treman - on the lower west side of Highland Road. The ice jam was
broken up by the Village immediately after the problem was reported and the
water receded. To further decrease possible future flooding, gravel was
removed from the stream bed immediately upstream of the culvert and some
loose gravel was removed from inside the culvert. The Engineer has taken
grade elevations of Highland Road shoulders and road ditches from the culvert
to beyond the Treman driveway and is in the process of designing recommended
changes in the road right of way.

The New York Dairy Herd Cooperative, Inc., of Build 1, Research Park,,
has requested permission to dispose of 150 gallons of milk per day from
their new location in the Research Park. This is the same amount of
milk that has been disposed of in our system in their previous location,
in the Research Park, and it has not caused our Treatment plant problems.
SEWER SERVICE FOR THE TOWN OF DRYDEN
Engineer Fabbroni, acting for Rocco Lucente, has requested that sewer
service be extended to the Town. of Dryden adjacent to the northeast corner
of the Town of Ithaca.
EAST LINE OF THE VILLAGE
Numerous attempts have been made to reach Mr. Richard McDowell, land
surveyor, to re- establish the exact location of the east line of the Village
and to give us information that will allow the drawing of an accurate map.
The Town of Ithaca has expressed interest in joining with the Village in
this project.
