In November 1980 there were 9 General Alarms, 1 Incident Cain- ana 9 Rescue
Squad Calls.
On November 13th, at 6:06 p.m., thirteen men and two trucks "sponded to 600
Cayuga Heights Road where a closed chimney flue activated a smoke detector.
On November 14th, at 8:39 P.m., twenty two men and four fire Vehicles responded
to 108 Brandywine Drive where a spark from a fireplace causdd.minor damage to
the floor in front of the fireplace.
On November 14th, at 9:03 P. m., twenty five men and four truCkS responded to
1209 Hanshaw Road for a strong electrical odor. The problem was.an overheated
furnace motor.
On November 15th, at 4:19 a.m., the department had a "stand biy ".at the firehouse
while Lansing Fire Department had a working house fire on 8alcn6n•Creek Road.
On November 15th, at 6:02 p.m., twenty one men and four trucks responded to 627
Cayuga Heights Road where the fireplace flue had closed causing•'smoke to fill
the house.
On November 17th, at 8:40 p.m., twenty four men and four trucks.spent sixty four
man hours at the scene of an attic fire at 604 Winston Court.'.'...'
On November 24th, at 7:26 a.m., eighteen men and three trucks extinguished a first.
floor apartment fire at 604 Winston Court.
On November 26th, at 7:18 p.m., seventeen men and three trucks;'responded to a car
fire on route 13 ; no fire - broken radiator hose.
On November 27th, at 00:43 a.m., one truck and ten firzemen, responded to a car
fire at 104 Winthrop Drive. The fire turned out to bet,an.oVenheated fan belt.
The one incident call was at 572 Warren Road to extinguisji it'snioldering chair
which had been used the previous night at a training drill.*.-'.. '
