The Village has paid for repairs. Many times the mail boxes are not installed to allow snow plowing. Other municipalities do not accept responsibility for mail box damages. It is suggested that a policy requesting proper installation of mail boxes and mail box posts be made before the Village accepts respon- sibility for damage and notification to residents be made. ./ Lansing and Village of Cayuga Heights - Curbing at North Triphammer Plans will be presented for the curbing proposed on North Triphammer Road at the Village line. A resolution accepting the concept but requiring detailed plans subject to the approval of the Village of Cayuga Heights Engineer and Police Chief is desired by the Village of Lansing. Leaves �/ There are still leaves to collect in the Village. This seems to be an increasing problem in time and money. REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER During the past month one zoning permit was issued for alterations and additions for an estimated construction cost of $23,000. Zoning Board of Appeals met on November 19, 1980 to hear a request from Charles W. Hibbett of Devon Road for a variance of the 25 -foot front yard setback ordinance. The variance was granted. The Zoning Board of Appeals met on December 10, 1980 tocomplete the hearing for variance request for side yard setback distance for a fence from Charles E. Treman of Highland Road. Variance was granted. An application to divide the property at 114 Overlook Road was received. This is in the multiple housing zone. The apartment house is to be sold with one -half of the property. One -half of the property is to remain in the name of the owners, Alfred P. and Constance Cook, for a proposed single building lot, residential development. The division of land as described in the application meets the requirements of the Village Zoning Ordinance.
