George, Fire Chief RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of June 1980. There were 9 general alarms, 2 incident calls, and 8 rescue squad calls. On June let, at 1:32 p.m., the Department was called to the Warren Farm because of an alarm malfunction. Two engines and 20 men responded. On June 2nd, at 10:14 a.m., an accidental alarm at Cayuga Heights School called out the Department. Two engines and 8 men responded. On June 3rd, at 1:11 p.m., the Cayuga Heights School had a fire drill. They accidentally set off the general alarm system. Thirteen men and 4 trucks responded. An accidental alarm at DeWitt Jr. High School called out the Department on June 4th, at 2:54 p.m. Fifteen men and two trucks responded. An alarm malfunction at the Cornell University Warren Farm called out the Department on June 6th, at 7:00 a.n. Two trucks and 15 men responded. On June 12th, at 9:26 p.m., the Department was called to 318 Winthrop Drive because of an oven fire. Twenty -one men and 4 trucks responded. On June 14th, at 2:44 p.m. the Department was called to 103 Birchwood Drive for a fire in a basement living room. Eighteen men and 4 trucks responded. A brush and grass fire on the 300 block of North Sunset Dr. was responsible for a fire call on June 23rd, at 8:42 p.m. Twenty -eight men and 3 trucks responded. An accidental alarm at 108 Iroquois Road was responsible for a cell on June 29, at 5:08 p.m. Twenty -two men and 3 trucks responded. The Fire Council requests permission of the Board of Trustees to purchase 15 leather cases at $3-11.00 each for our radio pagers. The pagers, valued at $300 each are carried onIthe belts of the firemen. We have had 3 pagers dropped and damaged which causedlexpensive repairs of over $100 each. Also, one pager was dropped at a fire an� totally destroyed. The carrying cases will prevent the ungarcn being dropped and damaged. 'D F-
