Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for May 1980 The Police Department handled 97 complaints and investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 73 traffic tickets and 12 parking tickets issued. There were four felony complaint, three for grand larceny and one for burglary, and nineteen misdemeanor complaints, five for issuing bad checks, three for petit larceny, seven for criminal mischief, one for criminal trespass, one for aggravated harassment, one for reckless endangerment and one for attempt to commit the crime of larceny. Two persons were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, one person was arrested for driving while intoxicated, one person arrested for opening a grave, one person arrested for menacing and one person arrested for issuing a bad check. Twelve juveniles were apprehended for various violations, nine for criminal trespass; two for curfew violations, and one for aggravated harassment. The Town of Ithaca has sent a letter to Town residents concerning the police traffic enforcement proposal and I have attached a copy to this report so you will be aware of its content. There was a total of 1,819 95 in property reported lost or stolen during the month and 110.96 in property was recovered by the Police Department. The full -time officers worked 19 hours overtime during May and the part -time officers worked 14 hours. HRM :bp Respectfully , Harlin R. McEwen Chief of Police
