George, Fire Chief RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of April 1980 ---------- — --- ------ ----- - -------- _------ ------ -- - -__• _ —_— There were 8 general alarms and 6 first aid calls in April 1980. On April 1st, at 5:34 a.m. and again at 6:57 a.m., the Department was called to the Village Hall at 836 Hanshaw Road because of alarm malfunctions. The telephone company was called, and they found a short in their lines. Fifteen men and 3 trucks responded. On April 2nd, at 11:37 p.m., the Department was called to 203 The Parkway because of an overheated boiler. Eighteen men and 2 trucks responded. An alarm malfunction at 310 Triphammer Road was responsible for an alarm on April 15th, at 1:08 p.m. Seventeen men and 4 trucks responded. On April 17th the Department was requested under Mutual Aid to send one truck and a crew to the Ithaca Central Fire Station to stand by while the Ithaca Department was committed at a working fire. 'Twelve men responded. Six went to Ithaca and 6 stood by at the Cayuga Heights Station. One truck responded to Ithaca. On April 19th, at 6:15 P.m., the Department was called t* 305 D'art Upland Road for a car fire. Fourteen men and two trucks responded. On April 28th, at 3:39 p.m. and again at 5:59 p.m., the Department was called to BOCIS Bldg. E because of an alarm malfunction. Three trucks responded to both alarms and 17 men. There were 6 first aid calls in April to which the First Aid Squad responded.
