Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for February 1980 The Police Department handled 77 complaints and investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 54 traffic tickets and 10 parking tickets issued. There were seven felony complaints, three for grand larceny, two for criminal possession of a forged instrument, one burglary and one arson. There were twenty -three misdemeanor complaints, nine for criminal mischief, six for issuing bad checks, three aggravated harassment, two petit larceny, one criminal possession of stolen property, one criminal tampering and one falsely reporting an incident. Three persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated, one person was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, and one person was arrested for violation of probation. Three juveniles were apprehended for petit larceny and one juvenile was apprehended for disorderly conduct. There was a total of $1,118.06 in property reported lost or stolen during the month and $154.39 in property was recovered by the Police Department. The response from Village residents to our Operation I.D. Program has been very good and many residents are also taking advantage of our security survey program and have improved their locks and taken other security measures in their homes.
