RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of February 1980
There were 10 General Alarms, 2 Incident Calls, and 4 First Aid calls in February.
On February 1st, at 7:59 a.m., the Department was called to Pyramid !Mall on a
mutual aid call which was an alarm malfunction. Ten men and 3 trucks responded.
A gas odor at 1031 Hanshav Road called out the Department on February 4th, at
9:13 a.m. Thirteen men and 4 trucks responded.
On February 4th, at 3:39 p.m., the Department was called to 309 Roat Street for a
chimney fire. Thirteen men and 4 trucks responded.
A fire caused by a furnace malfunction was responsible for a mutual aid call to
Lansing at the Red Carpet Restaurant on February 6th, at 11.20 p.m. Eighteen men
and 3 trucks responded.
On February 9th, at 12:55 a.m., a motor vehicle accident at Hanshav and Warren
Roads was responsible for an alarm. Fifteen men and 2 trucks responded.
A serious house fire caused by a defective fireplace at 309 St. Catherine Circle
was responsible for nn alarm on Fehrunry ]0th, at 5:52 p.m. T._ZL X -foss meu and
5 trucks responded.
On February 15th, at 1:42 a.m., a malicious false alarm called out the Department
to the Ecology House on Country Club Lane. Eighteen men and 5 trucks responded.
On February 17th, at 3:45 P.m., our Department was requested by Lansing Fire Dept.
to stand by at our station as a reserve while all of their equipment was committed
at a house fire. Sixteen men responded to the fire station.
On February 19th, at 2:54 p.m., the Department was called to the Ecology House on
Country Club Lane for a clothes dryer fire. Sixteen men and 5 trucks responded.
An alarm malfunction at Cayuga Heights Fire Station called out the members on
February 28th, at 12:59 p.m. Five men responded.
The Incident Calls were: burning odor -1; smoke investigation -1.; medical
emergency -4.
