VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS - REPORT OF THE ENGINEER -- DECEMBER 1979
KING'S DRAINAGE PROBLEM
Plans for the solution to the drainage problem across Michael King's property on
Warwick Road, and in agreement among the three parties, the Village of Cayuga
Heights, Mr. Otto Schoenfeld, and Michael King were submitted to Mr. King over
a month ago. Mr. King had no objection to the plans but asked to have his lawyer
look over the agreement. Last week the Engineer received word that Mr. King's
lawyer objected to some of the wording and would call the Village Attorney to
resolve the matter.
VILLAGE OF LANSING SEWER LINE PLANS
Engineers for the Village of Lansing for sewer line design have been in
correspondence with the Engineer. Plans will be available at the Village Board
meeting. At this point it is evident that they still plan to use some of the
Village of Cayuga Heights sewage system to carry the Village of Lansing sewage
to the treatment plant.
VILLAGE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
Some technical data will be available at the Village Board meeting on the
operation of the plant and the use of ferric chloride. It is suggested by the
plant operator and the Village Engineer that the Board of Trustees as a group
or individually schedule a tour of the plant with Mr. Gleason for a complete
and thorough explaination of the total operation.
PERSONNEL
Mr. Michael Coyle's medical examination report was very good and he has been
appointed a full -time regular employee in the classification of laborer.
VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS - REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER - December 1979
The Zoning Board of Appeals met on December 12 to hear a request for a variance
from Judge Frederick Bryant at 107 Northway Road. The request to replace an
existing carport, which was less that the required set -back distance from the
side yard, with a garage was granted with the stipulation that the garage be no
closer to the property line than the present structure and that this distance was
4 feet. The proposed garage met all the other requirements.
During the past month there were no zoning permits issued.
One road opening permit was issued for a contractor for the construction of
utility lines across Sheldon Road.
