VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS
October 15, 1979
TO: Honorable Frederick G. Marcham, Mayor
Members of the Board of Trustees
Village of Cayuga Heights
SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for September 19'/9
The Police Department handled 64 complaints and investigated 8 motor
vehicle accidents during the month. There were 179 traffic tickets
issued and 50 parking tickets.
There were seven felony complaints, two for Grand Larceny of Motor Vehicle,
two for Attempted Burglary, and two for Criminal Possession of a Forged
Instrument. There were thirteen misdemeanor complaints, five for Criminal
Mischief, three for Petit Larceny, two for issuing Bad Checks, two for
Criminal Trespass, and one for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
Three persons were arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and
one person was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. One juvenile was
apprehended for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and one juvenile was
apprehended for Curfew Violation.
We have now received the annual cost for the three street lights hooked
to underground wiring on Cambridge Place. The NYSE&G Corp reports
it will be $225.23, which is slightly over $75 per light annually. This
is much less than they originally estimated. Village Board Resolution
#2855 on 7/17/78 established the policy for billing developers for the
first year costs of such installations and therefore Mr. Schoenfeld should
now be billed for $225.23 as his share of the cost for these lights.
There was a total of $498.14 in property reported lost or stolen during
the month and $40.14 in property was recovered by the Police Department.
The full -time officers worked 20 hours overtime during the month and
the part -time officerw worked 112 hours.
Respectfully,
,. tek>
