RR: Report of the Fire Department for the month of August 1979
There were 5 general alarms and seven incident calls in the month of August 1979.
On August 4th the Depattment was called on mutual aid to assist with rescue efforts
to recover the body of a drowning victim in Fall Creek Gorge at Cornell. Eleven
men and two trucks responded.
The Department was called to assist at an auto accident on August 14th at 12:09 a.m.
on Route 13. Seventeen men and two trucks responded.
There was an alarm on August 14th at 10:25 a.m. when the Department was called to
the intersection of Cayuga Heights Road and Hanshaw Road for an auto accident.
Thirteen men and two trucks responded.
On August 22nd, at 8:59 p.m., a smoke odor was investigated at Warrenwood Apart-
ments at Apt. 2C, Bldg. 2.
While on this call, the Department was called to Apt. 2B, Bldg.2 at Warrenwood
Apartments for a stove fire. Twenty -three men and two trucks responded.
The Fire Council requests permission to purchase 500 ft. of 1 -3/4 in. hose at a
cost of approximately $700.
The incident calls were as follow: medical emergency - 5; investigations - 2.
