SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for July 1979
The Police Department handled 79 complaints and investigated 3 motor
vehicle accidents during the month.
There were three felony complaints, two for grand larceny and one for
attempted rape. There were twenty -three misdemeanor complaints, seven
for criminal mischief, six for bad checks, four for petit larceny,
four for criminal trespass, one for aggravated harassment, and one
for violation of the alcoholic beverage control law.
One person was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated during the month.
There were 91 traffic tickets and 11 parking tickets issued.
There was a total of $971.41 in property reported lost or stolen
during the month and $609.41 in property recovered by the Police Dept.
The full -time officers worked a total of 43 hours overtime and the
part -time officers worked 18 hours during the month.
