RE: Report of the Cayuga Heights Fire Department for the month of March 1979.

A Garage fire al, 104 Huric-I;h Drive called out the department on March 12th
at 9:01 p.m. 24 men and 3 trucks respunded. The fire was confined to one wall
of the garage.
On March 23, 1979 at 6:00 a.m. the department received a mutual aid call to send
one engine and a squad of men to the Varna Fire Station to standby while their
equipment was committed to a working fire. 17 men resonded to standby at Varna
and the Cayuga Height+; station.
Also on March 23rd at 10:111 a.m. the department was called to Cayuga Heights
school. The school held a fire drill and through human error or a malfunction
the alarm at Cayuga Ileirlits station was sounded. 13 nten and 4 trucks responded.
A car fire on Route 13 in the Village called out the department on March 28th
at 6:45 a.m. 22men and two trucks responded.
On March 30th at 5:23 p.m. the department was called to 301 Rost Street for
a chimney fire. 24 mcu and 4 trucks responded.
In March there were five incident callr, as follows : 2 First Aid calls;
1 flooded basement; 1 Investigation and .1 flooding condition.
Cayuga Heights Fire Co. #1 has nominated the following Chief officers for
the year 1979 -80 and I request the Village Board's approval of the following
appointments:
