SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for January 1979
The Pc -'J.ce Department handled 60 complaints and investigated 9 motor vehicle
accidents. There were 47 traffic tickets and 47 parking tickets issued
during the month.
There were six felony complaints, five for criminal possession of a forged
instrument and one for grand larceny. There were twenty -two misdemeanor
complaints, thirteen for bad checks, four for criminal trespass, three for
petit larceny, and two for criminal mischief.
One person was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, two persons were
arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, and two juveniles
were apprehended for Criminal Mischief.
There was a total of 81,423.99 in property reported lost or stolen during
the month, and 81,231.52 in property recovered by the Police Department.
The full -time officers worked a total of 39 hours overtime and the part -
time officers worked 107 hours during the month.
