George, Fire Chief RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of November 1978 There were 8 general fire alarms and 6 incident reports in the month of November. On November Ist, at 3:50 p.m., an accidental fire alarm called the Department to the DeWitt School. Eighteen men and 4 trucks responded. On November 4th, at 11:03 a.m., a car fire at 825 Hanshaw Road called out the Department. Twenty men and two trucks responded. A false alarm at BOCES called out the Department on November 6th at 10:54 a.m. A defective detector caused the alarm. Twelve men and 3 trucks responded. On November 22nd, at 11:06 p.m., the Department was called to 220 Devon Road for a car fire. Twelve men and 2 trucks responded. • An oven fire at 130 Forest Home Dr. called out the Department on November 22nd at 9:34 p.m. Seventeen men and 4 trucks responded. On November 28th, at 9:45 a.m., the Fire Station Flexalarm set off the monitors. There was no fire, and It Is believed the Telephone Company repair service caused a short while working on nearby lines. Fifteen men responded. A smoke odor at Pyramid Mall was responsinle for a Mutual Aid call on November 29 at 8:07 p.m. Twenty men and 3 trucks responded. On November 30th, at 12:56 a.m., the Department was called to 323 Highland Road for a car fire. Twenty men and 3 trucks responded. The incident calls were as follow: Medical emergency - 3; smoke odor - I; assist police - 1. •
