George, Fire Chief RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of July 1978 There were 10 general alarms and 5 incident calls in the month of July. On July 3rd, at 9:49 p.m., the Department was called to Pyramid Mall for mutual aid. A malfunction in the system caused the alarm. Eighteen men and 3 trucks responded. A car fire near 600 Warren Road called out the Department on July 10th at 12:05 a.m. Twenty -four men and 2 trucks responded. On July 12th, at 1:40 a.m., a truck fire called out the Department to Route 13. Twenty -three man and 2 trucks responded. On July I21h, at 9:09 p.m., the Department responded to a car fire near 819 Hanshaw Road. Twenty -three men and 3 trucks attended the fire. Smoke observed in the area of 113 Kay St. was responsible for a call on July 15th, at 1:00 p.m. The smoke was from a fireplace. There was no fire. Fourteen men and 3 trucks responded. On July 16th, at 12:19 a.m., a car fire called out the Department to 2111 North Triphammer Rd. Sevanteen men and 3 trucks responded. A false alarm called the Department for mutual aid to Pyramid Mall on July 17 at 7:43 p.m. Sixteen men and 3 trucks responded. On July 21st, at 5:42 p.m., smoke observed by a neighbor called the Department to 229 Berkshire Rd. It was found that food was burning on a stove. Twenty - three men and 2 trucks responded. An accidental alarm called the Department to the Cornell Warren Farm on July 31 at 4:18 p.m. Eighteen men and 5 trucks responded. A fire in an apartment called the Department to 623 Highland Rd. on July 31 at 6:54 p.m. The fire was confined fo a wrste basket which was out on arrival. Two trucks and i3 men responded. • There were 5 Incident calls as follows: I electric pole fire; I medical emer- gency; I flooded basement; I standby for mutual aid; 1 assist Cornell Fire Service to dispose of some dangerous chemicals.
