REPORT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
TO: Mayor F. G. Marcham and Members of the Board of Trustees

RE: Report of the Fire Department for the month of June 1978.
There were two general alarm fire calls and 10 incident calls In June 1978.
On June 1st, the Department was called to 217 Highgate Road for a kitchen fire.
Fifteen men and 3 pieces of equipment responded.
A wastebasket fire in an apartment at 316 Highland Road was responsible for a
call on June 13th. Seventeen men and 4 trucks responded.
The 10 incident calls were as follows: first aid - 4; investigation - I; gas
odor - I; dangerous condition - 2; gasoline flush - I; animal in chimney - I.
• The Fire Council requests permission to purchase the following, the money for
which is In this year's budget.

350 feet of 21" hose at $2.05 per foot $717.50
600 feet of 3" hose at $1.40 per foot 840.00
12 Fire turnout coats at $64.30 ea. 771.60
12 Fire helmets at $39.50 ea.
