A concrete head wall was placed on the upstream side of the new culvert pipe, and a built -up dry wall with very heavy stones was placed on the downstream side. Spray patching is in process in the Village. In answer to a complaint last year about this method of road paving, we are running our automatic street broom as soon as possible after the paving to remove potentially hazardous excess gravel from the travelled right of way. An estimated $2000 will be spent for asphalt and stone for this type of patching. A paving schedule for this year:. Work Is expected to start in the latter part of July, depending on how soon we can obtain the motor paver from our material supplier. A new motor paver surface will be put on East Upland Road from Triphammer to Hanshaw and also on Randolph and Warwick Roads. A sealer coat will be put on Wyckoff Road and Oak HIII Road and on Midway, Kiinewoods, and Forest Drive where motor paver mix had been placed last year. A total estimated $17,500 will be spent for materials for motor paver and sealer work this year. An inspection of a stream under - cutting on Remington Road across the street from • 207 Remington Road was investigated with Trustee Philbrick. A wall to control erosion and provide support for the overhang is required. It is anticipated that a stone face will be used for part of the construction and to give acceptable appearance to the adjacent property. SIDEWALKS A request has been received from Cornell University asking us who is responsible for sidewalk repair at their property at the corner of Oak Hill Road and Trip- hammer Road. SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT By experimentation and by the use of a used 1,000- gallon tank we had at the Village store yard, our operator has been able to increase the amount of solids removal from our effluent to 90% with Just the use of our trickling filters and to 99% in the effluent with the use of our tertiary treatment. State requlrsmentt is for 85% removal after the effluent comes out of our tertiary treatment. We are getting excellent results from our treatment process at this point.
