George, Fire Chief RE: Report of the Fire Department: for the month of March 1978 There were / general alarms and e,' incident reports in March 1978 On March 4th at 11:21. p.m. the department; was called to Warrenwood Apts. for a kitchen fire. 31 mea and It truclu., ro::pondcd. On March 5th at 5:19 a.m. a mutual aid request called the department to Pyramid Mall o[: a false alarm. 18 men and 3 trucks responded. On March 6th at 3:47 a.m. the department responded to a false alarm, a mal function at Pyramid Mall. 14 men and 3 trucks responded. A broken sprinkler water pipe called out the department on March 9th at 10:46 a.m. to the Peking Restaurant in Cayuga Mall. 15 men and three trucks responded. On March 10th at 12:37 p.m. a mal function in the alarm system was responsible for a mutual aid call to the Pyramid Mall. 15 men and 3 trucks responded. Also on March 10th at 6:07 p.m. a furnace fire called the department to 302 • Salem Drive. 211 men and 5 truck:; responded. An alarm mal function on March 20th at 11:46 p.m, called the department to the Pyramid Mall . 15 men and two trucks responded. On March 25th at 6:59 a.m, the department was called to 305 Muriel Street for a chimney fire. 30 men and 4 trucks responded. On March 31st our department was called to the Varna Fire Station for stand by duty while their equipment was committed to a working fire. One engine and 9 men responded. 10 yen responded to the Cayuga Heights Fire Station and stood by while the first group was absent from the Village. There were 8 incident calls in March. as follows: Gas odor 2; Flooding 2 ; Pumped basements 2; Fire.-Inspection I and Alarm Malfunction 1.
