George, Fire Chief RE: Fire Department Report for the month of November 1977 There wars 5 general alarms and no incident reports in November 1977. On November 15, 1977, at 7:46 a.m., there was a working fire at 1107 Triphammer Road. The interior of the kitchen, the attached garage, and a 1975 auto that was in the garage were seriously damaged by fire. The rest of the house sustained damage from smoke and some water. The garage and kitchen were both engulted in flames upon arrival of the firemen. The Cayuga Heights firemen did a very good Job of stopping the fire and containing It to the kitchen and garage. Twenty- five Cayuga Heights firemen responded to the fire. They were assisted by 12 tiremen from Lansing and two Lansing engines. A smoke odor at 1206 Hanshaw Road called out the Department on November 21st at 6:08 p.m. Twenty -five men and four pieces of apparatus respondee. A burned out Ilght ballast was responsible for an alarm at the Robinson and Carpenter store at the Village Green on November 15th at 4:32 p.m. Twelve men and 3 pieces of equipment responded. On November 25th, at 3:45 p.m., the Department responded to Bldg. D at BOCES on a false alarm. Nine men and one engine responded before the alarm was known to be false and the monitors so advised. A short in telephone lines was believed responsible for the alarm. A burned out furnace motor at 212 Tareyton Drive was responsible for an alarm on November 25th, at 4:42 p.m. Nineteen men and three pieces of apparatus responded. •
