There were 96 traffic tickets and 51 parking tickets -issued during the month� There were four felony complaints for burglary, and one for criminal possession of a forged instrument. There wore thirty one misdemeator complaints, nine for issuing bad checks, seven for criminal mischief, four for petit: larceny, four for criminal trespass, three for criminal tampering, two for aggravated harassment, one for illegal possession of fireworks, and one for theft of services. 27iree persons were arrested for driving while i.ntoxicai:ad. Two ;juveniles were apprehended for curfew violation, two for burglary, and one for illegal possession of fireworks. On September 29, 1977, Trustees Anderson and Pimentel toured part of the Village to look at the street light situation. Trustee Randolph e•rho was also on this committee was cut of town. It was agreed that street lights at the intersections on North Triphammer Road and Triphemmer Road should be up -dated and also the .lighting at the intersection of Varwick Place, Winthrop Drive and Burleigh Drive should be up-dated. The Proposal would require changing 13 2,500L. incandescent lights to 7,000L. mercury va_ro: lights at an increase of $14.85 each, and adding two new 7,000L. mercury vapor .lights at $50.00 each, for a total annual increase of $294.85. I am also in the process of determining from NYSE &G if they can furnish sodium lights instead of mercury vapor. There was a total of $328.07 in property reported lost or stolen during the month and $177.41 in property recovered by the police department.
