Village of Cayuga heights
SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for 11arch 1977
The Police Department handled 83 complaints and investigated 9 motor
vehicle accidents. There were 114 traffic tickets and 7 parking tickets
issued during the month.
There was one felony reported during the month for attempted burglary. There
were twenty -six misde.aeanor complaints, seven for criminal mischief, seven
for petit larceny, six for bad check, four for criminal trespass, one for
aggravated harassment and one for attempted petit larceny.
Seven persons i:ere arrested for driving while intoxicated, tr,o persons were
arrested for issuing bad checks, one person was arrested for attempted
burglary end one for trespass.
On March 24th at 8:00 P.M. I attended a meeting at the Sheraton Inn which
Was conducted by the sign committee of the Village of Lansing, Lansing
Trustee Anne Furry had invited 17ayor Harcharn to send a representative from
Cayuga heights. Mr. Paul Yonge from the 1I.Y.S. Dept. of Transportation Was
there to explain the pilot project on commercial signs which is presently
underwny in the finger -lakes region. I will explain this briefly at the
Villl:ge Board meeting and answer any questions you may have concerning it.
There was a total of 5675.12 in property reported lost or stolen during the
month and 1;81.00 in property recovered by the Police Department.
The officers 1rorked a total of 46 hours overtime during the month.
