ceiling of two bay areas and the small, adjacent building. The estimate from Lang
Roofing is $660. The estimate from Marion Electric Is $1,050. Both firms have
done considerable insulation work in the Village area. Does the Board wish to
have this insulation installed now or wait until the next budget year? At pre-
sent, there is only 31 inches of insulation over the small, adjacent building.
SNOW REMOVAL
The total for this year for salt, sand, gravel, and grits is $2400. This Is out
of a budget figure of $6000 for the full year. We have had an exceptionally cold
• first half of the winter, and this relatively low cost figure Is an indication of
the use of grits and sand mixture with salt for ice control rather than straight
salt. There has been considerable overtime, as many of the snowfalls occurred
on weekends and in the night.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
After discussions with the contractor, Stewart and Bennett, at the time of writing
this report all but two Items remain to be completed on their list. A detail of
the cost for enclosing the grit chamber can then be submitted to the Board for
their review and approval of the change order for that enclosure. Signs on all
non - potable water have been Installed at the Plant. The tannic hardware for the
chlorine room has been installed. The contractor is working on a cost proposal
for supplying spare parts under the latest proposed change order, and it should
be completed before our February meeting. There Is some minor concrete work to
be done to the final settlement basins. This repair work can not be done until
warmer weather, but there is no controversy with the contractor, and he will
complete the work as soon as the weather permits.
