George, Fire Chief Re: Fire Department report for the month of January 1977 There were five calls and seven incidents in January. On January 2nd, at 10:13 p.m., an odor of oil and gas near 320 Winthrop Place called out -the Department. Twenty -one men and 3 pieces of apparatus responded. On January 7, at 2:39 p.m., the Flexaiarm at the Fire Station sounded a false diarm. It is believed a short circuit was responsible. • A chimney fire at 409 Warren Road called out the Department on January 15th, at 5:30 p.m. Fourteen ran and 2 pieces of apparatus responded. On January 23, at 5:34 p.m., a fire at 214 East Upland Road called out the Department. A living room couch was damaged. Twenty -three men and 2 pieces of apparatus responded. On January 24, at 6:49 p.m., the Department was called to Lansing North Apartments for a mutual aid call. Eighteen men and 2 pieces of equipment responded. Incidents were: Mutual aid for a flooded store Shoveled hydrant Gas spill Dangerous condition Flooded basement Street water break Standby
