VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS
ANNUAL REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER
1976
During the past year, February I, 1976 to January 31, 1977, there were two zoning
permits Issued for a total of $125,000 of new construction. Fifteen zoning permits
were Issued for $161,200 of additions and alterations to existing structures and
two zoning permits were issued for signs. The interpretation and enforcement of
the new Village zoning ordinance added to the responsibilities of the Zoning Offi-
cer. There are still questions involved with the new ordinance and a review of
existing signs is now underway. Some minor changes in the ordinance are under con-
sideration before any action can be taken by the Board on these changes. Other
zoning matters that are under consideration are the height requirement for build-
ings and the control of the use of front and other yards for the storage of boats,
trailers, or other large objects. In general, the Village zoning ordinance and
its enforcement continue to protect the unique character of the Village.
