HomeMy WebLinkAboutAnnual Report of the Zoning Officer 1976s 0 VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS ANNUAL REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER 1976 During the past year, February I, 1976 to January 31, 1977, there were two zoning permits Issued for a total of $125,000 of new construction. Fifteen zoning permits were Issued for $161,200 of additions and alterations to existing structures and two zoning permits were issued for signs. The interpretation and enforcement of the new Village zoning ordinance added to the responsibilities of the Zoning Offi- cer. There are still questions involved with the new ordinance and a review of existing signs is now underway. Some minor changes in the ordinance are under con- sideration before any action can be taken by the Board on these changes. Other zoning matters that are under consideration are the height requirement for build- ings and the control of the use of front and other yards for the storage of boats, trailers, or other large objects. In general, the Village zoning ordinance and its enforcement continue to protect the unique character of the Village. The Zoning Board of Appeals met six times during the past year to hear appeals from residents on zoning matters.
