SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for November 1976
The Police Department handled 72 complaints and investigated 10 motor vehicle acci-
dents. There were 68 traffic tickets and 10 parking tickets issued during the
month.
There were four felonies reported during the month, three for burglary and one for
attempt to commit the crime of robbery. There were twenty -four misdemeanor com-
plaints, nine for bad checks, six for petit larceny, five for criminal trespass,
three for criminal mischief, and one for falsely reporting an Incident.
One person was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and one person was arrested
for Petit Larceny. One Juvenile was appreprehended In connection with falsely
reporting an incident (false fire alarm).

From November 16 thru November 19, Officers Wall, Vann, and Lansing attended a
breathalyzer training course conducted by the N.Y.S. Bureau for Municipal Police
at the Ithaca Police Dept. Chief McEwen, Sgt. Cooper, and Officer Day attended
a one -day refresher training course on the breathalyzer at the Binghamton P.D.
There was a total of $951.49 in property reported lost or stolen during the month
and $169.05 in property recovered by the Police Department.
The officers worked a total of 73 hours overtime during the month.
