HomeMy WebLinkAboutReport of the Mayor Oct 19760 Ll VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS Report of the Mayor October 1976 I have no matter of general importance to report. A letter from Bruno A. Mazza to Roger Sovocool raises objection to one of the con- ditions which we included In the permit to Roso9-Fi Associates, Inc., and the Corners Community Center, Inc. As I read the letter,J-hl b principal difficulty for thom arises out of our condition that change of ownership of the Corners Community Center would make necessary a reconsideration of the permit. They ask for elimination of this condition. I have a Vetter from Elizabeth Mount, 303 East Upland Road, who raises questions concerning construction of a sidewalk on East Upland Road between Tripharrmer and the Corners Community Center. She says that there are at least two property owners willing to have a sidewalk an their land. I assume the Board would wish to reaffirm Its position taken on 4 -19 -65 when under the heading "apportionment of sidewalk costs" it resolved that the entire cost of Installing the sidewalk be approached as follows: "The Village to pay 25% of the cost and adjacent property owners to pay 75% of the cost." Questions have arisen regarding the apportionment of water costs as they relate to multiple housing units. The provision as entered under Exhibit 1, Water Rate, Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Mater Commission, goes as follows: It says.that those properties where a master motor Is used will be computed: Multiple Housing and mobile home parks of over 2 units, using a master meter, w111 be computed as follows: The quarterly master meter reading will be divided by the number of dwelling units and the water charge will be figured on this number as if the unit was Individually metered. The water chargo will then be multiplied by the number of units on the master meter and this will be the billing rendered. F. G. Marcham, Mayor
