This is less a report than a word of thanks on behalf of Villagers to all who
went into action on July II, 1976 when flood waters overwhelmed parts of the
Village. Employees, Village Officers, and members of the Village Board Joined
with private citizens to remedy the disasters large and small. We had also the
help of members of the Enfield Fire Departmant, through the cooperation of the
Mutual Aid program. We are grateful to them.
The amendments the Board offered to -the language of the Certificates of Substan-
tial Completlon,in connection with the work at the Sewer Plant, have been accepted;
0 new Certificates have been drawn and duly signed by all parties.

I passed on to Mayor Smidt of Lansing information regarding the amendments we
proposed in the new sewer contract. His attitude towards them was strongly
critical.
