The Flexxalarm at the Fire Station has II customers Including the eight schools,
Village Hall and 2 residences. When an alarm comes into the Fire Station the horns
:xund but tha monitors are not alortsd until someone comes to the station and alerts
the monl'rors. If the Resident Driver and his family are not at home we only hope
so!:e firFO,an will hear the horn and respond, This has been a constant worry that
no one would respond until a life had roan lost or a building destroyed. We have
ob•Iained prices form the Flexalarm people but the prices for equipment have been very
9Y.cess l va.
'?rn•r we have learned through an engineer-that we can, without any additional expense
?xre ?t a leased telephone line, alert Central Fire Control when an alarm comes in
:rod Central Control can set off the monitors stating we have a Flexalarm and the
• firemen can respond to the station and learn the location of the alarm.
nra asking permission of the Board to install such a lease line. The cost Is
::;.00 installation plus $18.22 per month.

The matter of a new roof for the old part of +he Fire Station has been brought
before the Board. The roof is still leaking. Now we find the leaking water is
gutting down Inside the cindtir block walls and causing the paint to peal as well as
soma of the cinder blocks losing cement along with the paint.
Mr. Rogers and I have obtained two estimates for a new roof which Mr. Rogers will
discuss in his report.
The Fire Council requests permission to purchase five 5 gallon cans of 6% tri•pie F
foam at $15.7.5 per gallon at a cost of $381.25. This is to replace old outdated
foam purchasod in 1970 and 1971. All of cur old foam is outdated. The new foam is
r ,)ported to last indefinitely.
