SUbJLCT: Report of the Police Chief for May 1976
The Police Department handled 64 complaints end investigated 8 motor
vehicle accidents. There sere 108 trrffic tickets and 22 parking
tickets issued during the month.
There were six felony complaints, four for burglary and two for grand
larceny. There were sevcnteen misdemeanor complaints, 5 for criminal
mischief, 5 for bad checks, 3 for petit larceny, for criminal
trespass and 1 for criminal possession dangerous drugs.
Five persons were arrested for Driving Vhile Intoxicated and one
person ryas arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
7th degree. Four juveniles were apprehended during the month, two
for burglary, one for curfeir violation and one for harassment.
There was a total of ;:3,905.00 in property reported lost or stolen
during the month and a total of 1239.00 in property recovered during
the month by the Police Department.
The officers worked a total of 32 hours overtime during the month.
