Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for March 1976 The Police Department handled 115 complaints and investigated 7 motor vehicle. accidents. There were 91 traffic tickets and 21 parking tickets issued during the month. There were eight felony complaints, seven for burglaries, and one for grand larceny. Four of the burglary complaints Involved separate entries at the Cayuga Heights Elementary School and three Involved the reported burglaries of private residences, one of which was later declared unfounded, as was the grand larceny case. There were forty misdemeanor complaints, 16 for criminal mischief, 12 for petit larceny, II for bad checks, and I for attempt to commit the crime of petit larceny. Most of the criminal mischief and petit larceny complaints involved the entry of parked motor vehicles over one weekend. Two persons were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and four Juveniles were apprehended during the month. Three of the Juveniles were handled within the Department and released, and the fourth was referred to Family Court. There was a total of $1,468.73 In property reported lost or stolen during the month, and a total of $469.95 in property recovered during the month by the Police Department. The officers worked a total of 9 hours overtime during the month. Respectuflly, Harlin R. McEwen 7 Chief of Police
