REPORT OF MAYOR - 2/16/76
Apart from the meeting
with the Lansing Village Board, of which our Board and
Its officers have knowledge, I have taken part in only one significant action.
Representatives of the
municipalities cooperating on the sewer project met to
discuss the procedures
that should be followed to set up an Intermunicipal
Commission In place of
the County Commission for Sewer District No. I.
At this meeting, we learned that some municipalities, notably Lansing Village,
were out of touch with
the events and policies that had been under discussion
for the past few years
concerning the Sewer Program. We agreed to gather some
of the chief documents
and statements on the subject and to circulate them
among one another. This Is being done. I assume that within a week or two we
shall meet again.
