Most of these changes and extras resulted from requests from our sewer plant
operator, are necessary for the proper operation of the plant, and are recom-
mended by Teetor- Dobbins and also by the Village Engineer.
On the week of February 23rd, Teetor - Dobbins plans to inspect the plant to
determine the completion of the punch list which was submitted to the con-
tractors. if this punch list is complete, a certificate of completion will
be recommended by the Engineers. This does not mean that final payment will be
made, because this is based upon proper operation of the plant for a number
of months after the final completion. The contractors have submitted requests
for an extension of time for the completion of the contract. This has not been
as yet given by our Engineers. They are consulting with the authorities in
Albany to ascertain the effect of granting such an extension of time.

Teetor - Dobbins has found a second contractor to make a bid on the work that
must be done on the outfall pipe. This was necessary and done with the approval
of Stewart and Bennett, as Stewart and Bennett was not able to obtain a reason-
able bid for this outfai•I work. It is hoped that the Engineers will have a bid
• at the time Mr. Wylen meets with the Village Board.
The O&M Manual has been received and will be at the Board meeting for members
to Inspect.
STREETS
During the two periods of rain and thaw, it was necessary to do some backhoe and
drainage ditch work to prevent water from flowing Into resident garages and
houses. Considering the heavy amount of snow and the fairly heavy runoff, we
have only a few problems of this type. Also, during the thaw a few pot holes did
appear. These were filled with a winter bituminous mix to prevent further damage
to the roads and also to prevent vehicle damage. Again, although there are a
number of these holes at the major traffic places like the Corners area, in
general there are not an excessive number of these pot holes.

SNOW REMOVAL
We have had more snow this winter than any winter for at least the last five
years. It has necessitated an unusual amount of overtime for keeping the roads
clean. The amount spent for salt and sand for Ice control will exceed last
year's expenditures. We continue with our policy of mixing sand with the salt
and of salting on hills, Intersections, and curves only. This policy seems to
meet with the approval of the residents.
