A punch list was made by our Engineers with the help of our Sewer Plant Operator, Mr. Gary Gleason. There still are a numbs of things to perform on the punch list before nrproval will be made for final payment. There are also a number of items that cannot be connpl.uted unhil Spring, such as planting and Ether landscaping items. Plans should be made at this time for taking bids, if necessary, for the operation of the Sewer Plant so that the proper budget item can be included in next year's sewer plant operation budget. S141M. LINES The replacement of 346 feet of 10 -inch sewer line with 12 -inch sewer line on Lower Remington Road has been completed. The total amount of cost to the Village has been tabulated, and the cost will be forwarded to Lansing for payment. The correction of the problems at Manhole 223 on Lower Remington Road has not been started due to weather conditions. This again is a correction job that will be paid for by Lansing. 0 T.lLPTS The Village Forester has spoken to residents Harold William and Dr. Farrow of tltghgate Road. They would be happy to have the maples planted on their frontage along 17ighgate Road and would be willing to pay t)1e partial cost as laid out by the Village Trustees for this type of tree planting. If there are no objections from the Board, I will proceed with the planting of these trees as soon as the weather permits. FIRE HALL At the request of the Fire Chief, the Public Works personnel did some repair work on the roof of the Fire Hal'. about a month ago. It seems that the repair has been effective in stopping the i:oking, aroand some flashing; but it is suggested hhat this roof, which is now twenty years old. should be thoroughly examined and a price obtained for possible replacement in the near future. STREETS With the extended cold weather and with weekly snow storms, it has been necessary to use more than the average amount of salt on the Village streets to remove ice and snow. We will continue with our policy of salting only hills, curves, and intersections in an effort to reduce the amount of salt used for snow and ice control. • REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER - January 1976 ° There were no zoning permits issued during the last month. Two road opening per- mits were issued: One to Mr. Otto B. Schoenfeld for connecting a sewer line on Burleigh Dzive and one to NYSE&G for repair work of gas service at the Village Hall.
