Marcham; Trustees: David J. Allee, Ronald E. Anderson, David Pimertei, Rane F. Randolph; Treasurer Gordon B. Wheeler; Attorney Roger B. Sovocool; Engineer - Zoning Officer John B. Rogers; Forester David Pimentel; Village Justice William Tucker Dean; Police Chief Harlin R. McEwen; Fire Chief Lowell T. George. ABSENT: Trustess:Shatier S. Phllbrick and Jean R. Robinson. OTHERS PRESENT: Seven residents and members of the news media. By custom, the Chairman and Secretary for the annual meeting, appointed from the floor, were the Mayor and Village Clerk. Mayor Marcham reported on the negotiations now in progress with the Village of Lansing concerning a contract for sewer service. He spoke on the Intermuniclpal Water Program and its progress. The prospect of higher interest rates for Bonds and Bond Anticipation Notes may mean a higher charge per household for the Water Program. On speaking of the Dog Ordinance, Mayor Marcham brought out that some persons are becoming lax in confining their dogs. He wished word to get out that the Dog Ordi- nance is in force. The Village Board and its Officers are alert to the financial picture and will, as in the past, discharge their duties with regard for the provisions of adequate is services and for keeping a firm hand on expenditures. The Mayor's written report is on file In the Village Office. The Treasurer gave his report. The Village Is in very gcdd financial condition. Although there has not been a preliminary budget meeting, it is expected there will be an increase of from 4 to 6 %. The Engineer gave his report. He summarized works of the Public Works Department. The big news for this year Is the substantial completion of the Wastewater Treat- ment Facility. Inspection was made by the Consulting Engineers, Teetor - Dobbins, on February 23, 1976, of the remaining small items that were listed for completion by our general contractor and sub - contractors. The Plant has been In operation, both secondary and tertiary treatment, since October 1975. An Inspection day for the public is being planned for the Spring when the plant and the landscaping will have been completed. The Village Plant is the only plant In the Syracuse District that has tertiary treatment. The Zoning Officer's repor-i• is on file in the Village Office. The Village Justice gave his report as did the Police Chief and the Fire Chief. All these reports are on file In the Village Office. • .0 11NUTES of ANNUAL RESIDENTS MEE11NG - February 24, I ?76 page 2 • 40 The Village Forester reported that there was a decrease in the number of diseased trees which had to be removed and that our program has paid off. Mayor Marcham stated that we do not have the tree skeletons you see other places outside the Village. Mr. Charles Brodhead, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, reported that the following persons have agreed to run for the offices indicated and their names ire placed on the slate of candidates: For Mayor - F. G. Marcham For Village Justice - William Tucker Dean For Trustee - David J. Allee Robert L. Bruce John Munschauer Rane F. Randolph Jean R. Robinson Jean Storandt * incumbents There being no nominations from the floor, the nominations were closed. No other business came before the Board. The Mayor reminded everyone that Registration Day will be held February 7.8, 1976 In the Village Hall between noon and 9:00 p.m. and that Election Day will be the same hours on Tuesday, March 16, 1976, in the Village Hall.
