REPORT OF FIRE MSPECTOR - December 1975
During the month of November, all required school inspections were completed and
the anmmnl inspection of the Pi Beta Phi sorority at 330 Triphammer Road was made.
Conditions relating to life safety continue to improve. With the exception of a
few minor recommendations, all locations were relatively free of serious conditions.
The most noteworthy exposure continues to be the damage to the main transformer
located adjacent to the north wall of the DeWitt Junior High School. We have re-
peatedly reported broken gauges and have recommended to the Ithaca City School
District that the gauges should be repaired and the transformer enclosed with a
Cyclone type fence. Hopefully, our message krill get through and the improvements
will be made soon.
Since the last inspection, the potentially dangerous gas main installation at
DeWitt has been corrected and it appears that we are making progress.
