SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for January 1975
The Police Department handled 54 complaints and investigated 9 motor vehicle
accidents. There were 116 traffic tickets and 14 parking tickets issued during
the month.
There were three felony complaints during the month. One concerned a residential
burglary and two concerned stolen motor vehicles. There were 17 misdemeanor-
complaints.
Four persons were arrested on criminal charges during the month. One person
was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance,
7th degree. Two persons were charged with petit larceny, and one person was
charged with grand larcnws 3rd degree.
One juvenile case involved the purchase of alcoholic beverages with fraudulent
identification.
In the Police Chief's report to the Village Board on October 21, 1974s it was
suggested that an investigation be made to determine the best way to provide
unleaded gasoline for the police cars in operation starting in June 1975. It
was suggested that some decision be made not later then January 1975 concerning
this matter. Some action on this matter should be taken as soon as possible.
The full -time officers worked a total of 16 hours overtime during the month.
