VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS
Report of Mayor
November 18, 1974
The activities associaeth wth restoration of Sunset Park have caused
Mrs. Nine Lambert to her work of organizing and preparing for
further planning and landscaping. The professionals who have advised
her have considered many aspects 'of the project, such as the order of
priorities, tree and shrub planting, and areas to be given ground cover..
The recommendations are on file at the Village Office. They call for
careful study. I will report my own views at a future meeting.
I signed a contract with the Tompkins County Chapter of the S.P.C.A.
and await the return of a signed copy from them.
Mayor Conley invited me, at 24 hours notice, to attend a meeting on
November 12 at which he would present to neighboring municipalities
his view of the state of the City's economy and what he intended to
• do to counter the proposed Pyramid Mall. I advised him to begin with,
to hold an informal meeting among the three supervisors and the two
mayors rather than a formal meeting of a dozen or more. I told him
that I was not free to attend. Later, I asked Trustee Kiefer to take
n4Y place and explained to her that if I had been present I would have
been an observer only.
I congratulate Police Chief MCEwen on his selection as Young Man of
the Year by the Ithaca Interfraternal Council.
F. G. Marcham, Mayor
