HomeMy WebLinkAboutReport of the Fire Department Aug 1974Is CAYUGA HEIGHTS FIRE DEPARTI-ITMIT Report for August, 1974 The Cayuga Heights Fire Department responded to four alarms during the month of August, 1974. All the alarms were of a minor nature. On August 7, 1974 at 11:58 A.M. the Department responded to 505 Triphammer Road for an automatic telephone alarm. This was a malfunction. Three pieces of equipment responded with nine men. On August 10, 1974 at 1018 A.M. wires were taken down by. a 60 foot elm tree at 407 Klinewood Road. Eagina 202 and nine men stood by until N.Y.S. Electric & Gaa arrived. A wood shed that had been torn dorm on Birchwood Drive was set on fire on August 15, 1974 at 7:18 P.M. The Tompkins County Sheriff Department is investigating the cause of the fire . Car 261, Engine 201, and Engine 202 responded with 14 men. Wires were again the cause of an alarm on August 17, 1974. • The Alarm was at 129 Midway Road. Car 261 and Engine 202 respond- ed with 15 men. On Thursday, August 22, 1974, three men returned from Wisconsin with the new ladder truck, The Department is very pleased with its newest piece of equipment. Lowell T. George Fire Chief 0
