REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER - AUGUST 1974
A request has been received from the Convenience Food Market to light a portion
of their shake shingled roof at the southwest corner of their building. As this
is not specifically covered in the siging or zoning ordinances of the Village,
it is brought before the Board for their determination.
A request has been received from Mr. Balluffi to purchase a twenty -five foot
right of way owned by the Village directly south of his property on The Parkway.
This property was previously owned by David Call who had received a variance for
this lot.
During the last month, three zoning permits were issued for the construction of
new houses in the Village for a total estimated'cost of $115,000, and five zoning
permits were issued for construction of alterations or additions for a total
estimated cost of $32,000.
The Zoning Board of Appeals met on July 31st and granted a variance to Dr. Plane
on North Sunset Drive to allow an overhang roof to protrude into the twenty -five
• foot front yard setback.
The Zoning Board of Appeals met on July 17th to hear a request from Professor
Daniel A. Baugh for a variance to allow more than 12 per cent coverage of the
lot area. This request was denied.
Complaints have been received from neighbors of Robert Sprole of 630 Highland Rd.
about the construction of a large pole to support aerials and other devices.
The matter was discussed with the Village Attorney and Mr. Sprole and he has been
advised that he should submit a request for a construction permit which might
have to go before the Board of Zoning Appeals.
