Marcham, Mayor Members of the Hoard of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights SUBJWT: Report of the Police Chief for July 1974 The Police Department handled 65 complaints and investigated 'j motor vehicle accidents. There were 76 traffic tickets and 23 parking tickets issued during the month. There were 5 burglaries of private residences reported toward the end of July and we have arrested 2 male s•:bjects in connection with one of these burglaries. The court proceedings are continuing in this matter, There were 22 misdemeanor complaints during the month. I have received a certification of eligibles following the civil service test of Sergeant. Larry S. Cooper has been serving as Provisional Sergeant since April 7, 1974 and has done an extremely good job. He is qualified nm9 for permanent appointment and I would like to recommend that he be given a permanent appointment as Sergeant effective August 16, 1974 at an annual salary of $11,407 plus his educational incentive of $202.50. The present police budget prwrides for this promotional raise. A resolution is requested approving the advance payment for stamped envelopes from the U.S. Postmaster as fol7.oas: 1 box 500 #601 -6 3/4 Regular Envelopes $53.55 1 bex 500 #101 -10 Regular Envelopes $.54.20 The part -time officers :corked a total of 193 hours during the month and the full -time officers worl;ad 19 hours overtime.
