MINUTES of a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga
. Heights held Saturday, July 27, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. in the Village Hall.
PRESENT: Mayor F. G. Marcham; Trustees David J. Allee, Verne A. Fogg, Dooley S.
Kiefer, Claire C. Nulle, Rene F. Randolph; Treasurer Gordon B. Wheeler; Engineer
John B. Rogers; Attorney Roger B. Sovocool.
The Board considered at length the traffic situation at the intersection of
Triphammer, East Upland, Hanshaw, and North Triphammer Roads and recognized that
conditions at the intersection present serious difficulties and will continue to
do so. The Board also had in mind the option to purchase the Hewitt property,
which is possibly a key location in action on the traffic situation.
RESOLUTION 2285 - EXTEND OPTION
VOTED to authorize the Attorney to seek a seven -day extension of the thirty -
day option on the Hewitt property and to assure the property owners that the
Board will make a definite decision on acquiring the property at its next
regular meeting August 19, 1974; and to authorize appraisal of the property by
R. Agard; and request the Engineer to seek professional advice on the traffic
problem at the Triphammer Road, Hanshaw Road intersection; and to ask the County
Planning Office to present to the Board a preliminary verion of a traffic - circle
solution of the problem.

RESOLUTION 2286 - BID - DUMP TRUCK
40 VOTED to authorize the Clerk to advertise for bids on a new 1974 dump truck upon
the specifications prepared by the Engineer. This resolution to be confirmed
at the next meeting.
