Report for May, 1974
The Fire Department responded to 4 fire ^alarms during the month
Of ;ay, 1974.
On May 10, 1974 at 3:45 A.',., Engine 202 and Car 261 with 11
men Trent to Lansing 5's station for stand by. This was when Lansing
Fire Department had a working fire at the Worth Forty on Route'34.
The Department answered a call for a grass fire on .'Say 2121974
at 6 :44 P.N. The grass fire was on Warren Road near Lansing East
Apartments. Engine 202 and 13 men responded.
The Fire Department responded to Del:titt Junior High School on
May 23, 1974 at 10:49 A.;•I. A student accidentally hit the pull bx:
and the alarm came in on the Flexalarra System. Engine 201, 202 and
Car 261 responded with 8 men.
On :.lay 259 1974 at 9:51 P.-M. the Fire Department answered a call
for a chimney fire at 416 Highland Road. There was no damage. Engines
2012 202 end Car 261 responded with 21 firemen.
There has been no further word on our new Ladder Truck.
Eugene Dymek, Vire inspector, has inspected partitions that
are being installed in DeWitt Junior High School. He has also
been working with :L.. Indelicato at 316 Ifigbland Road. ;sir. Indelicato
has been cooperating with ;:ir. Dymek.
