T,* %c :. ...) nartment answered five calls on June 10, 1974, mostly due to a severe storm. 11.c first call at 2:35 p.m. eras at 435 Wyckoff Road when an interior fire alarm maalfunaticnad. Engine 202 and Car 261 responded with three men. The fire monitors were not used as there was no fire according to the person who called in the alarm. At 9 :20 p.m., a second call was to the Convenient Food Mart where a second floor office and the Food Mart were flooded when the roof leaked. Engine 203, Car 261, and 13 men responded and swept out water and used tarpaulins to protect furniture and merchandise. . A 'third call at 9 :39 p.m. was to the Cayuga Heights School when the storm caused a malfunction in the fire alarm system at the school. Engine 201, Car 261; and V, uen responded. =•.lso at 9:30 p.m., a fourth call vise received for a fire at 101 Highgate Rd. Engine 202, Car 261, and 12 men responded and extinguished a fire in a partition caused by lightning. A fifth call at 10:30 P.M. was to 106 Highgate Road, where electric wires ware doom and burning. Engine 201 and 9 men responded. O.: Ju.1e 122 1974, Engines 201, 202, and Car 261 and eleven men responded to 511 Ylinp Road, where an electric motor in a dishwasher overheated and was burning. The Department was cal Iad to Klinsvroods Road on June 15, at 12:33 p.m., when heavy winds blew down electric wires which were burning on the ground. Engine 202, Car 261, and 14 men answered the alarm. Several firemen stood by for four hours until the electric company arrived at the scene. On June 27, 1974; a malfunction in the interior alarm system at the Cayuga IIeighcs Gchool caused by a loss of electric power was sounded at 2:34 p.m. Engines 201, 202, and Car 261 and 9 men responded. The Fire Department was called to the Hill Drug Store on June 28, 1974, ac 10:36 a.m. to extinguish a fire in a waste barrel. Bueene J. 1Jymek, Fire Inspector, reports that in June he visited the 316 Highland Roan, constvaction site at least once a weer. and advised the otmer, Mr. Sal Indelicato, that the north section was acceptable for occupancy. bir. Hill was advised that his property at 1007 Triphammer Road was in compliance with the Multiple Residence Residence Law. Plans were reviewd on June 21 with Mr. D. Griffith of BOCES fcr the new maintenance and storage building to ba constructed at BOLES.
